Bears are not toys, bears are to be avoided. Bears are not to be befriended, whatever their age. The mother is most likely around the cubs. Most conflicts are related to mother bears. If you spot a bear, please report it to our Directorate on the emergency phone number +36 30 861-3808

  • If you go into the forest, do it on the designated hiking trails!
  • Avoid impassable thickets and thickets!If not necessary, do not enter the forest between sunset and sunrise!

2022/1. - 5. Ipolytarnóc: our stay in the wilderness

Ipolytarnoc; Unser Aufenthalt im Nirgendwo[26.5.2022- 5.6.2022.; 28.6.2022.-7.7.2022]Während unseres Freiwilligendienstes wohnten wir insgesamt einen Monat in Ipolytarnóc, einmal Anfang Juni und einmal Anfang Juli. Das Visitorcenter gehört nicht direkt zum Bükk Nationalpark wird aber vom Direktorat mitverwaltet. Wir wohnten in einem der Gästehäuser am Waldrand und hatten immer mal wieder pelzigen Besuch durch den dort lebenden Kater. Unsere Arbeit war etwas anders als im Direktorat, wir saßen nicht im Büro sondern waren meist draußen unterwegs. Bevor wir nach Ipolytarnóc fuhren gab uns Balázs Excel Tabellen über verschiedene Wanderpfade rund um Ipolytarnóc. Unsere Aufgabe war die Pfade abzulaufen, die Infotafeln mit einem GPS-Gerät zu markieren und alles mit Fotos festzuhalten. Anschließend trugen wir alle Auffälligkeiten in den Tabellen zusammen. Eine weitere unserer Aufgaben war etwas sehr besonderes, Ipolytarnóc ist für seine Fülle und Qualität an Fossilien bekannt und noch ist längst nicht alles freigelegt. Wir durften die Ausgrabungen weiterführen und uns selbst als Archäologen versuchen. Die Arbeit machte viel Spaß aber natürlich war auch die Umgebung traumhaft schön. Unsere Unterkunft befand sich mitten im Wald, was wir durch kleine Ausflüge und Spaziergänge nutzen Während unseres zweiten Aufenthaltes fand die Reevaluation statt, mehr dazu können sie im Blogeintrag „Hoher Besuch in Ungarn“ lesen.
