Earth Day program at the Fossils

04/19/2026 11:40 AM
IPOLYTARNÓC FOSSIL NATURE RESERVE AND PRESENTATION PLACE
In honor of Earth Day in advance, on April 19, 2026, the Bükk National Park Directorate invites its visitors to the Ipolytarnóc Fossils with a special program, where the geological nature trail tour began in 1986, 50 years ago, with regular presentations of our earth's special memorial site. During the thematic program, in addition to the memory of our Earth, the recently deceased Professor László Kordos, an internationally renowned paleontologist in the paleontological research of the area, will also be commemorated at the paleontological center of the Novohrad–Nógrád UNESCO Global Geopark.
