The inactive spring cave, famous for its archaeological finds, is about a 1 km walk from the center of Répáshuta.

In addition to the bones of cave bears, cave hyenas, and ancient bison, characteristic stone tools from the early Szeleta culture were found in the lower level of the large hall. The upper level of the fill concealed the skull of a child aged about one and a half years from the end of the Ice Age, in addition to the small blades of prehistoric man.

The Balla Cave is a highly protected natural and archaeological site.

The cave is part of the Rejtek – Répáshutai educational trail and is open to visitors.

The tour can be combined with a visit to the Bükk Observatory above Répáshuta.
