At the popular hiking destination in Szilvásvárad, in the Szalajka Valley, going along an asphalt walkway you can get to the Information House, near the game reserve.
The show place made in the building presents the nature values of the Szalajka Valley, and the nature conservation activity of the Bükk National Park Directorate.
You can marvel at the collection of butterflies, familiarize with the stones of the Bükk in the touch-the-stone area, play with the trace recognition game. You can get to know the wildlife of the Szalajka Valley, the herbs of the region. Visitors can take sample pieces from the bark of trees native in the area, and they can try to recognize birds, too.
In the yard, there is a playground for kids. In the National Park Products Shop you can buy the publications of the Bükk National Park Directorate (maps, study-path brochures, books), and also other publications about the knowledge of nature and nature conservation. Besides the national park trade mark products of local producers, from Szilvásvárad and its surroundings, also the Directorate’s own products (sausages, souvenirs) are available in our shop.
Visit to the information house is free.
