The landslides are situated in the upper part of the Gortva stream, in the rocks of Bukovinka Formation.
The ideal landslide environ is caused by rhyodacite tuffs and gravels of this formation lying on the plastic leak proof clays. The landslides are indicated by undulated, hilly character of relief and crooky growing trees. The slided rafts of rhyodacite tuffs partially blocked the Gortva stream and so created two small landslide lakelets.
