Udvar-kő, the only real collapsed doline in the Bükk Mountains, is located on the Kis-fennsík plateau, accessible from Tardona via the red-marked tourist trail, at the meeting point of two valleys. Underground waters carved out and dissolved a large chamber in the Triassic limestone. The cave chamber formed close to the surface, and Udvar-kő was created when its ceiling collapsed. The spectacular gorge with vertical walls, 17 m deep and 15 m in diameter, has a gate 3–3.5 m wide and 1.5–2 m high. The stalactite-encrusted cave ruins and the rock gate at the entrance indicate its cave origin.

The cave is strictly protected. It is open to the public.
