The Bükk-Region Geopark is preparing for the 10th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks. The conference will be held in Marrakesh, a royal city of Morocco, from 7-9 September. It will be hosted by the UNESCO Global Geopark M'goun in Morocco, which is making history, as this is the first time a UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference will be held on the continent.

Several geopark-related events will coincide with the conference. One of them is the 2nd UNESCO Global Geoparks International Film Festival, for which the Bükk-Region Aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark has been nominated.

2025. május 9-én, a Velencei Biennále zártkörű rendezvényén ünnepélyes keretek között megnyitották a 19. Nemzetközi Építészeti Kiállításhoz kapcsolódó Deep Surfaces UNESCO kiállítását, melyen a nemzetközi zsűri által kiválasztott 3 magyarországi látogatóközpont is szerepelt. Mindhárom helyszín észak-magyarországi geoparkban, a Bükki Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság (BNPI) működési területén belül található. Ezekből kettőt a BNPI hozott létre és sikeresen működtet.

A Bükki Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság két bemutatóhelye is bekerült a Velencei Biennále keretében megrendezésre kerülő, a 19. Nemzetközi Építészeti Kiállítás kiegészítő UNESCO programra, az UNESCO Velencei Irodája által szervezett „Deep Surfaces” című nemzetközi kiállításra. A Szeleta Park Látogatóközpont és az Ipolytarnóci Ősmaradványok Természetvédelmi Terület Ősfenyő Belépő Fogadóépülete is képviseli hazánkat a világ 50 kiválasztott látogatóközpontját bemutató tárlaton, kiemelve egyedülálló földtudományi és örökségvédelmi szerepüket.

Hallo zusammen! Mein Name ist Hanna und ich bin die neue Freiwillige der Organisation kulturweit aus Deutschland. Ich werde bis Ende August dieses Jahres in Eger bleiben. Hier sind ein paar Fakten über mich: Aufgewachsen bin ich in einem kleinen Dorf namens Trautmannshofen in Bayern, das in der Nähe der Stadt Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz liegt. Die nächstgrößere Stadt ist Nürnberg (Vielleicht habt ihr schon mal davon gehört.) Im Februar bin ich 23 Jahre alt geworden. Zusammen mit meinen Eltern wohne ich noch in Trautmannshofen. Mein älterer Bruder Lukas wohnt in Neumarkt. In meiner Freizeit bin ich gerne draußen, gehe wandern oder fahre mit dem Fahrrad. Außerdem lese ich gerne spannende Romane oder Krimis und gehe an den Wochenenden mit Freunden aus. Nachdem ich 2016 meinen Realschulabschluss gemacht habe, habe ich eine Ausbildung zur Industriekauffrau bei der örtlichen Öko-Brauerei "Neumarkter Lammsbrau" gemacht. Seit 2019 war ich bei der Thule GmbH in Neumarkt im technischen Kundendienst tätig. Nun war es Zeit für ein neues Abenteuer! Da ich schon immer mal für eine gewisse Zeit im Ausland arbeiten wollte, nutzte ich die Gelegenheit und bewarb mich für den Naturfreiwilligendienst bei kulturweit. Glücklicherweise wurde ich angenommen und mir wurde angeboten, den Freiwilligendienst im Bükk-Region Geopark in Eger, Ungarn zu absolvieren. Ich habe das Angebot angenommen und bin nun glücklich und neugierig, welche Erfahrungen dieser neue Lebensabschnitt für mich bringen wird!
