The Petőfi Walkway
The several decade-long relationship between humankind and landscape can be traced in the walkway linking the castles of Somoskő and Salgó. In addition to introducing the relation of illustrious ancestors, one can get in touch during this walk with one of the basic field of nature conservation, i.e. bird protection as well as coal mining playing a decisive role on the foundation of the town. In the Birds’ Park of Eresztvény, a series of boards entitled as ‘Bird-friendly garden’ by the MME BirdLife Hungary can also be seen.
